    Description

    The Texas Institute of Cardiology is looking to hire a Part-time/contract nuclear medicine technologist with flexible schedule.

    Please only apply if you meet the following qualifications:
    • At least 1 year experience performing Nuclear stress tests/Myocardial Perfusion Imaging.
    • ARRT or NMTCB licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
    • BLS or ACLS certification required.
    • Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care provider.
    • Ability to thoroughly explain imaging procedure to patient and answer any questions or concerns regarding study in a clear/concise manner.
    • Follow all OSHA and radiation safety procedures.
    • Manage hot lab and ensure dose calibrator, well counter, and any other necessary equipment is functioning properly prior to patient arrival.
    • Perform all necessary QC on gamma camera.
    • Proficiency in IV administration.
    • Order appropriate radiopharmaceuticals & administer to patients upon arrival.
    • Prep patients for stress tests and perform ECG/EKG monitoring during stress test.
    • Ability to detect arrhythmias and ECG/EKG changes during stress test and respond appropriately.
    • Experience performing Exercise and Pharmaceutical stress tests.
    • Monitor patients during stress test for adverse drug reactions and administer. appropriate medication under physician's direction.
    • Ability to thoroughly complete MPI studies in a timely fashion.
    • Experience with operating appropriate equipment, such as but not limited to, IS2 pulse Gamma Camera and GE Case treadmill system.
    • eClinical Works EMR experience preferred.

    Job Type: Part-time. 

    Schedule:
    • Flexible up to 20hrs per week. 

    Work Location: One location
