Pay Range: $35.81 - $53.72

Job Summary: This role involves performing therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality images are provided for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate cameras to detect and map radioactive substances in patients to produce diagnostic images.
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomical and technical factors.
- Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols.
- Adhere to radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
- Verify that equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment when necessary.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
EXPERIENCE
- No prior experience is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
- Regular use of hearing and speech for effective communication.
- Frequent ability to distinguish body sounds and detect alarms or malfunctioning equipment.
- Regular lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
- Regular reaching, gripping, and data entry on a keyboard.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional use of vision to identify and differentiate colors.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.
- Rarely kneeling or sitting.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
