Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210

Duration: 14 Weeks Contract

Shift: Day Shift – 5x8.5 Hour Shifts

Hours: 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week
Possible Evening and Weekend On-Call Required

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a contract opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment performing nuclear medicine procedures and supporting high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging studies
• Administer and monitor radiopharmaceutical procedures as required
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate patient imaging records and documentation
• Assist with patient registration and imaging workflow processes
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and patient protection standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform quality control procedures for imaging equipment
• Support training and workflow guidance for departmental staff as needed
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to concerns
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
• Follow departmental protocols and imaging safety guidelines

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
• Current NYS license/registration required
• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required or board eligible
• Strong nuclear medicine imaging and radiation safety knowledge required
• Ability to work independently in acute care hospital setting required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

Preferred:
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Synapse PACS experience preferred
• Siemens EVOSPECT, Philips Forte Camera, NMIS Hotlab System experience preferred
