  • Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours; Orientation shifts 0800 1630 (likely first two weeks); Call shifts available (not required): M F 0430 2200, Sat Sun 0600 2200, 60-minute response time
  • Travel Requirements: Local radius is 50 miles

Job Summary

This is a Nuclear Medicine Tech position at a 426-bed, Acute Care, MAGNET-designated hospital in Orange, CA. This is a reduced Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) role 0 hours NBO versus the standard 40 NBO. The clinician will be expected to perform PET scans; prior PET scan experience is preferred, but the facility is willing to train on site. No first-time travelers will be accepted; candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including PET scans
  • Work a 5x8 Monday Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays required
  • Complete orientation shifts 0800 1630 (likely first two weeks)
  • Opportunity to take call shifts (not required): M F 0430 2200, Sat Sun 0600 2200, with a 60-minute response time

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine tech experience required
  • No first-time travelers accepted; candidates must have at least 2 years of experience
  • Prior PET scan experience preferred; facility willing to train on site
  • RTO must be included at time of submission
  • Pending license not accepted
  • Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered

Education Requirements

  • BLS certification required
  • NMTCB certification required (ARRT also accepted in lieu of NMTCB)
  • CA State Nuclear Medicine Tech License required (pending license not accepted)

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine tech experience required
  • No first-time travelers; must have at least 2 years of experience to be screened

  • Scrub color: Royal Blue (RNs); L&D/OR scrubs provided
  • Guaranteed hours: Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
  • No weekends or holidays required
  • Open to M F block schedule
