Job Summary: The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures. $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Required Qualifications: - Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire. Or
- National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire.
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 6 months of experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications:- 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
