Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Eureka, California
Position Overview
We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Eureka, CA. This opportunity is ideal for imaging professionals looking to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Schedule
- Day Shift – 5x8 Hours
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 13-Week Contract
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and ensure image quality standards are met
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide patient education regarding exams
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow radiation safety standards and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to support patient care
Requirements
- Active Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification and state licensure required
- Previous hospital or clinical nuclear medicine experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of nuclear imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
