Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.  Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • · Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
  • · Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders and record dosages accordingly
  • · Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film
  • · Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
  • · Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address any concerns
  • · Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation
  • · May assist with transporting patients as needed

 Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree
  • Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
  • Clear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Nuclear Medicine credential: NMTCB or ARRT (N)
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
  • Current basic life support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
