Overview:


ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Probabilistic Analysis Engineer performs complex Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) activities that require specialized expertise and broad experience. The role involves applying probabilistic risk assessment methods; conducting consequence and hazard analyses; supporting defense in depth evaluations; and utilizing established Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) standards, regulatory guidance, and other related PSA methodologies. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.


Pay range: $43.93 - $50.89

Responsibilities:



* Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, audit inspections, and assessments, requiring skills and experience gained through the application of engineering methods and analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Provide independent engineering service and support to perform highly complex engineering tasks requiring specialized skills and broad experience in the application of engineering fundamentals in support of design modification, operation, and independent assessment of the organization's facilities.

* Work with minimal supervision.

* Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments involving specialized or unique engineering requirements. Solutions may involve unconventional or innovative problem-solving techniques.

* Provide technical direction, leadership, mentoring, and training to other engineers on highly complex or extended projects, including leadership of small groups to resolve complex issues where established guidance may not exist and advanced technological skills are required to develop solutions.

* Identify the need for, and initiate development of, new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.

* Assure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance, including interpretation and application of applicable requirements.

* Identify potential problems in design, quality, or operation and initiate corrective actions in accordance with the plant Condition Report (CR) process.

* Support Owner's Engineer activities, including construction oversight; participation in design reviews for new and advanced reactor technologies; support of progressive design/build contracts and construction efforts; and assistance with site licensing and construction permit activities.

* Interpret and review Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations and Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) documents; provide schedule inputs; and review project timelines.

Requirements:



* Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university and at least 1 year of engineering experience; OR

* High school diploma or GED and PE license obtained by accredited examination and at least 1 year of engineering experience

* Knowledge of advanced nuclear reactor/plant design (i.e., High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor Design)

* Experience with large construction projects
