Position: Nuclear Engineering & Safeguards Experts for Red Team
Type:Contract
Compensation:$65–$75/hour
Location:Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear domain, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate AI model responses against a defined policy standard to judge correctness.
• Write reference answers with technical reasoning to illustrate correct responses.
• Develop prompts that test AI models' ability to discern misuse potential in technical requests.
• Provide detailed written rationales for judgments to ensure clarity for non-specialists.
• Work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours to improve AI model evaluation.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Experience in safeguards and nonproliferation.
• Background in fuel-cycle and material control.
• Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience.
• Ability to write and evaluate misuse scenarios in the nuclear field.

Preferred

• Red-teaming experience.
• Experience as a Safeguards Analyst, Nuclear Engineer, or Nuclear Security Engineer.
• Background in Nuclear Forensics or Nonproliferation Analysis.
