    Responsibilities:

    • Read and interpret route sheets, drawings, Shop Instruction Sheet (SIS), Weld
    • Procedure Specifications (WPS), weld and rod cards.
    • Plan and organize the RT/UT welding process.
    • Identify and verify work piece material.
    • Communicate with the team members and shop foreman.
    • Perform basic fitting to a pre-established layout.
    • Work in a safe manner, demonstrating good workmanship and practices.

    Profile

    Qualifications:

    • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
    • Ability to understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
    • Minimum 5 years of manual welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to perform manual welding and repairs to RT/UT quality standards using multiple welding processes.
    • Intermediate blueprint-reading skills.
    • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in awkward positions.
    • Ability to pass respirator fit-testing, if required.

    Welding Test:Candidates must successfully complete a welding test consisting of:

    • 6G position test: 2 ¾" OD carbon steel pipe, 0.625" wall thickness.
    • GTAW root pass in the 6G position - visual inspection.
    • SMAW fill and cap in the 6G position - visual and RT inspection. Work Schedule

    Must be available to work one of the following shifts:

    • Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday
    • Afternoon Shift: 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., Monday-Thursday
    • Weekend Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday-Sunday (paid for 40 hours)
    • Weekend Afternoon Shift: 5:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m.
