PAY RATE: $61.75/hour

Summary: 

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.

  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.

  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation for numerically controlled equipment to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies.

  • Plans and guides development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.

  • Responds to work authorization requests including NCR, CAR, IRTI, RFA, CMES IP or Work Order, Management, Lean Projects, and QA Investigations.

  • Analyzes part and assembly dimensional tolerances.

  • Creates MCD, Scripts, and Plans for CMM, Laser Tracker, Photogrammetry, ATOS Scanner, Surphaser, Portable Scanner, and Portable Arm.

  • Creates 2D Mylar or 3D CAD nominal data from released engineering, loft, and measurement of physical master tools.

  • Develops part or assembly indexing plan for machining or inspection.

  • Analyzes nominal versus measured data and provides reports for Engineering Studies, Lean Improvement Projects, Non-Conformance Documentation, Inspection Reports, Machine Stability and Accuracy Tests, Reverse Engineering, SPC and Conformance Processes.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

  • Strong skills in programming and analysis of 3D Measurement Data for Production Assemblies, Detail Parts and Tooling from Laser Tracker, CMM, Photogrammetry, and Blue Light Scanner.

  • NRK Spatial Analyzer Software for dimensional analysis.

  • 3D Solid Modeling in CATIA V5 to create nominal engineering data on legacy programs.

  • GD&T application knowledge is essential.

  • Experience creating and updating Non-Conformance Documents (NCRs) in CMES.

  • Ability to analyze nominal versus measured data and provide technical reports.

  • Experience with portable measurement devices including Laser Tracker, Portable Scanner, and Portable Arm.

  • Knowledge of part and assembly dimensional tolerance analysis.

  • Experience creating MCD and inspection plans for various metrology equipment.
