Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawaii's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawaii's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapiolani. The hospital is home to the Kapiolani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapiolani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
Our Ambulatory Surgery department provides a wide array of surgical procedures and care in an outpatient setting. Patients requiring attention for medical conditions that can be treated without overnight admission to a hospital are attended to by our team of general and specialized surgery professionals. We offer state-of-the-art technology, comfortable surroundings and health care staff who are skilled, knowledgeable and sensitive to patients needs.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of nurse aide course with certification OR completion of nursing fundamentals OR RN certificate from a foreign country OR military corpsman certificate OR successful completion of an EMT or MICT training program OR a successful completion of HPH Nurse Aide Program. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: Current Hawai'i CNA certificate. One (1) year clinical experience.
