Founded in 1921 Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii.
With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties including bone and joint heart cancer endocrinology diabetes family medicine gastroenterology geriatric medicine internal medicine vascular and urology.
Straub is home to the Pacific Regions only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawaii such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
The Neuro Progressive Care Unit offers specialized care to patients with specific medical surgical needs with a strong focus on those with neurological conditions. The department puts great emphasis on providing complete case management privacy and communications services as well as maintaining patient safety and infection control.
One of the units distinctive features is its telemetry monitoring employed for patients who are hemodynamically unstable or require continuous cardiac monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications High school or equivalent. Completion of nurse aide course with certification OR completion of nursing fundamentals OR RN certificate from a foreign country OR military corpsman certificate OR successful completion of an EMT or MICT training program OR a successful completion of HPH Nurse Aide Program. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life BLS CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications Current Hawai'i CNA certificate. One 1 year clinical experience.
