About the Agency

The Mississippi Division of Medicaid responsibly provides access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged and disabled.

About the Position

This is a non-state service position (x-16). This position is located in the Executive Services Department. Third-level seasoned professional position considered an expert in a more complex public assistance programs that evaluates the effectiveness of benefit and eligibility programs by auditing processes and reporting finding to the stakeholder.

What youll need to be Successful

Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple programs or issues and coordination of benefits across multiple programs or reconciliation of benefits in programs involving both state and federal laws and regulations. Ability to advocate in an appeals process. Ability to perform case management work.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse, and 6 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or related field preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare, case management, quality improvement, or program management experience. • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
