Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nurse Educator, you will design, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education tailored for nursing staff.

Every day you will facilitate the professional growth, clinical skill development, and competency of registered nurses, ensuring these programs primarily support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals to ensure quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong instructional design capabilities, expert clinical nursing knowledge, and the ability to effectively engage and develop nursing professionals, ultimately enhancing nursing practice and patient outcomes.

• Creates and documents education plans in partnership with leadership team to meet strategic and operational

initiatives of the organization

Utilizes adult education theories and principles to foster the educational development of participants

• Authors curriculum and implements educational in-services, classes, courses and programs based upon identified

education needs and utilizing traditional, non-traditional and innovative methods of instruction including the use

of technology and simulation

• Collaborates with leadership to ensure the assimilation and on-boarding of new employees utilizing

organization's identified tools (i.e. skills lists, orientation documents, etc.) as a measure of employees ability to

meet performance expectations

• Develops and facilitates continuing education (CE) programs as a member of the Dignity Health Arizona Region

Provider Unit in collaboration with the Primary Nurse Planner and Lead planners

• Serves as a resource for clinical student experiences

Job Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's of Nursing BSN
• 5 years RN clinical practice in area of specialty
• Arizona RN license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support AHA BLS
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support AHA ACLS

Preferred

• Masters of Nursing
• Specialty certification and/or 2 years teaching
• Experience with spreadsheets databases graphics applications
