Qualifications:Required: Graduate from an accredited school or university. Masters degree in Education, Nursing, and/or Health Related Field post-masters certificate in education. Five (5) years in Acute Care Clinical Experience. Three (3) years OR RN experience, including circulating and scrubbing. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs. Preferred: Two (2) years of Professional Development and/or Education experience. Specialty Board Certification. Proof of publication. Certifications and Licenses Required: A current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey is required. American Heart Association BLS required. American Heart Association ACLS provider preferred/required within 6 months. Specialty Nursing Certification such as CNOR and/or Nursing Professional Development-Board Certified/NPD-BC preferred. Scheduling Requirements: Full-Time, Day Shift 37.5 Hrs Weekly No Holidays Occasional Off Shift Needs for Rounding / Orientation Essential Functions: Responsible for participating in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of education and training for hospital associates. Educates and mentors nursing staff on quality improvement and evidence-based practice. Facilitates professional role development and practices role transitions, including the RN Residency Program. Develops and implements initial and ongoing competencies alongside department leadership. Demonstrates effective teaching skills through appropriate instruction methodologies; communicates principles of adult education and applies adult learning theory when conducting programs. Provides for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education. Organizes multiple assignments and/or projects simultaneously to accomplish goals. Visible and accessible to clinical staff. Additional duties and responsibilities as delegated within NPD Scope and Standards of Practice. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and independent prioritization of responsibilities.
