QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant must be licensed by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Nurses and hold valid license as West Virginia Certification for School Nurse.

DUTIES:

• Employee is expected to work under the supervision of the Superintendent, provide health care services to students to meet particular health needs of students in the Summer School Program.
• Implement the specialized health care plan, as needed, if necessary.
• Maintain paperwork as specified and required by a health care plan.
• Assist students with specialized equipment, including, but not limited to computers, wheelchairs, augmentative communication devises, prone standers, therapies, etc., Ensure that diabetic needs are met in a way that maximized safety, health, learning, and participation of the student(s).
• Provide emergency care and first aid to injured/ill students.
• Administer medication as directed by a physician.
• Document pertinent student health information and other related assignments as assigned by the Superintendent

SALARY:

Individual daily rate of pay, available due to funding source provided by Federal Programs.

All Summer School positions will be paid only on days Summer School is in session, pending adequate staffing and student enrollment. Paid holidays are not part of this contract.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:

Marlinton Elementary - Energy Express Runs from June 22 - July 31, 2026; Monday-Friday (8am-12pm)

Marlinton Elementary - District Summer Program runs from July 6 - July 31, 2026; Monday-Thursday (12pm-3pm)

Green Bank Elementary/Middle School - District Summer Program runs from July 6 - July 31, 2026; Monday-Thursday (8:30am-12pm)
