Holliston Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and visionary District Nurse Leader to guide and elevate our system-wide health services. In this district-wide administrative role, you will champion student well-being by providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and professional support to our dedicated team of school nurses across all buildings.
Salary: $27,793 - $53,249 (Prorated at 0.50 FTE; equivalent to $55,586-$106,498 at 1.0 FTE) + $8,000 annual stipend
Compensation Note: Salary is determined by experience and placement on the current district salary schedule. Rates reflect the active schedule and are pending finalized contract negotiations for the 2026-2027 school year. Any negotiated rate increases will apply upon contract ratification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Key Leadership Responsibilities:
Departmental Oversight & Staffing: Lead the nursing team, assist administration with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling, assign substitute nurses, and facilitate regular departmental meetings and professional development.
Compliance & Policy Administration: Ensure district-wide compliance with MDPH mandates, state health laws, and the Nurse Practice Act; revise annual health policies and compile mandatory state reporting.
District & Community Liaison: Serve as the primary health contact between district leadership, school nurses, the School Physician, the local Board of Health, and community health agencies.
Operations & Resource Management: Manage health office equipment, supplies, and software across all school buildings; pursue grant opportunities and coordinate civic funding for student health needs.
Safety & Emergency Planning: Lead interdisciplinary and emergency response planning, oversee communicable disease protocols, and manage incident/accident reporting follow-ups across the district.
