    Job Description

    Job Description
    Description:

    Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM and rotating Saturdays 5:30AM-10:30AM

Make a real difference — one patient at a time.

At Community Medical Services (CMS), we believe recovery is possible for everyone. As a Dosing Nurse, you'll be a critical part of that journey — administering medication to patients recovering from opioid and other substance use disorders, and helping create a safe, judgment-free space where healing can begin.

Working closely with your Clinic Manager and medical providers, you'll conduct testing, manage medication inventory, maintain accurate records, and be a steady, trusted presence for clients navigating one of the hardest chapters of their lives.

This isn't just a nursing job — it's a chance to be part of someone's turning point.

    Why You'll Love Working Here

We invest in the people who invest in our patients. Our benefits package includes:

    • Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • Health savings account (HSA)
    • Short- and long-term disability insurance
    • Life insurance
    • Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time
    • 401(k) with company match
    • Tuition and CME reimbursement — up to 100%
    • Employee assistance program for your mental health and wellness
    • Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities

    Is This You?

You'll thrive in this role if you:

    • Prefer a predictable, outpatient setting and schedule
    • Genuinely enjoy connecting with people — you'll spend your day talking with clients, not lifting or transferring them
    • Want work that feels meaningful at the end of every shift

    What You'll Do

    • Administer medications as ordered by CMS medical providers
    • Monitor behavioral, medical, and physical symptoms related to dosage and substance use
    • Obtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samples
    • Process point-of-care urine drug screens per company policy
    • Prepare take-home medication (n/a in Montana)
    • Monitor medication administration closely to prevent diversion, and report any concerns to the appropriate internal authority
    • Maintain accurate client records in our EHR system
    • Document medication errors and respond to adverse reactions per protocol
    • Coordinate courtesy dosing for incoming/outgoing clients
    • Deliver medications to external facilities as needed
    • Order and maintain dosing room and nursing supplies
    • Keep accurate medication inventory records
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulations
    • Administer CPR when necessary
    Requirements:

    What You'll Bring

    • Active LPN license in your state of employment
    • Current CPR certification
    • Willingness to travel to assigned CMS sites
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (past 39 months) and reliable transportation
    • Experience with substance use disorders is a plus, but not required — we'll help you build that expertise
    • Familiarity with signs of intoxication and opioid withdrawal
    • A sharp eye for accuracy in medication administration and recordkeeping
