Hourly Pay: $25.96/hr

Shift Differential: $2.50/hour for early mornings and weekend shifts

Shift: 4:30 am - 11:00 am, Weekends and Holidays - Part-time

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is looking for a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) at the Hampton Roads Methadone Clinic in Newport News, Virginia.

This part-time position provides an opportunity to support adults receiving medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder while working as part of a dedicated behavioral health team. Required Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
• A current Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• One (1) year of experience administering medications or experience in a substance use treatment, psychiatric, or long-term care setting that includes the dispensing of narcotic medication.

What You'll Do

As a Psychiatric Nurse (LPN), you will provide safe, supportive nursing care to individuals receiving services through our Opioid Treatment Program. Responsibilities include:

• Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders, treatment plans, and program protocols.
• Monitor clients for medication effectiveness, side effects, withdrawal symptoms, and changes in condition.
• Complete nursing assessments and accurately document observations and services provided.
• Assist the psychiatrist and treatment team with medication management and coordination of client care.
• Provide health education and supportive nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with counselors, providers, and other healthcare professionals to promote coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and required clinical documentation.
• Follow federal, state, and agency requirements governing opioid treatment programs.
• Promote a respectful, recovery-focused environment for individuals receiving services.
