    Job Title: Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health | $145K–$160K | Direct Hire
    Location: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite)
    Facility: Brookdale Hospital
    Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire / Contract-to-Hire)
    Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    Compensation

    • Salary Range: $145,000 – $160,000 annually
    • Full-time leadership opportunity with long-term growth

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to lead operations within a hospital-based psychiatric unit. This role requires a strong clinical leader with proven experience managing a psych unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and team development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily operations of the behavioral health unit
    • Lead and support nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (DOH, JCAHO, etc.)
    • Monitor patient admissions, discharges, and care planning
    • Drive performance improvement initiatives and quality outcomes
    • Prepare reports and maintain clinical and operational data
    • Manage staffing, budgeting, and inventory
    • Ensure patient care standards and competencies are consistently met
    • Provide administrative leadership and coverage when needed
    • Implement best practices in behavioral health care

    Requirements

    • MUST HAVE: Experience managing a psychiatric unit in a hospital setting
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
    • Minimum 5 years of psychiatric clinical experience
    • At least 2 years in a leadership role
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of CQI, performance improvement, and Root Cause Analysis
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

    Education

    • Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing

    Certifications & Licensure

    • Active New York State RN License (Required)
    • BLS Certification
    • ACLS Certification
    • Crisis Management Certification (PMCS, TRUST, or equivalent)
