Nurse Manager Behavioral Health RN

This Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health (RN) position is based in Aventura, FL at a 467-bed Level II Trauma Center that also holds designation as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, an accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program, and an American College of Radiology–accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

The role. Reporting to the department Director, the Nurse Manager leads 24/7 operations of the Behavioral Health unit, translating Director-established goals into daily staffing, quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction outcomes. The Manager owns schedule planning and oversight, contributes directly to hiring decisions, performance assessments, and disciplinary actions, and maintains collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, and both internal and external department staff. A core accountability is guiding the team to meet Joint Commission standards and ensuring consistent compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

What we're looking for.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Florida Registered Nurse license or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida state licensing requirements, including ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Minimum 3 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time Charge Nurse/Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care hospital setting
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification, or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, day shift with no weekend requirement.
