What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with CSS leadership to ensure high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and recovery-oriented nursing care within a structured clinical stabilization setting.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing clinical guidance, training, support, performance feedback, scheduling oversight, and accountability for safe and effective care.
- Oversee nursing assessments and the ongoing monitoring of medical, psychiatric, substance-use-related, and withdrawal-risk needs for individuals receiving Clinical Stabilization Services.
- Carry out and oversee physician orders, medication administration, vital signs, health screenings, medication reconciliation, and other nursing interventions within the scope of practice.
- Provide clinical consultation for changes in health status, medication concerns, withdrawal symptoms, recurrence-of-use risk, behavioral health needs, and urgent situations, coordinating a higher level of care when appropriate.
- Coordinate with medical and psychiatric providers, pharmacies, referral programs, recovery supports, families and natural supports, community partners, and other BHN services to promote continuity of care.
- Support health and medication education, treatment planning, discharge planning, and transitions to the next appropriate level of treatment or community-based recovery support.
- Ensure nursing assessments, progress notes, physician and medication orders, discharge documentation, and other required records are clear, accurate, timely, and compliant with BHN, payer, BSAS, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 standards.
- Promote effective medication-management practices, infection control, staff competency, quality improvement, and integration of behavioral and physical healthcare across the CSS team.
- Manage medical supplies and inventory, maintain nursing licensure and required training, and support essential program operations and clinical coverage as needed.
Who You Are:
- Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
- At least one year of experience working with a behavioral health or substance-use treatment population required.
- Experience in clinical stabilization, residential substance-use treatment, withdrawal management, recovery services, or a related setting preferred.
- Knowledge of substance-use and co-occurring mental health conditions, withdrawal-risk indicators, medications, health education, and appropriate nursing interventions required.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and coordinate medical and psychiatric needs, respond effectively to urgent changes in condition, and collaborate across multidisciplinary treatment teams.
- Ability to supervise and develop nursing staff while promoting accountability, sound clinical practice, teamwork, harm reduction, and person-centered care.
- Cultural responsiveness and the ability to build trust and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with complex or challenging needs.
- Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and technology skills.

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
