We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to oversee daily nursing operations within a clinical unit or department. This role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, managing unit workflows, and supporting clinical and administrative operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with excellent communication skills, hands-on nursing experience, and the ability to balance patient care, staff management, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Supervise daily nursing activities within the assigned unit or department
Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
Monitor patient outcomes and clinical performance indicators
Support bedside care when needed during staffing shortages or high-acuity situations
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and evidence-based practices
Lead, mentor, and support Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and nursing assistants
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and shift coverage
Address performance issues and implement improvement plans when necessary
Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment
Oversee daily unit operations to ensure efficiency and continuity of care
Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Ensure appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and staffing coverage
Manage unit resources, supplies, and equipment
Collaborate with hospital administration on operational goals
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Monitor infection control practices and patient safety standards
Support incident reporting and root cause analysis processes
Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals
Participate in care planning and multidisciplinary team rounds
Communicate patient status updates to leadership and care teams
Support continuity of care across departments and shifts
Act as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital leadership
Respond to emergencies and critical patient situations as needed
Ensure staff are trained in emergency protocols and procedures
Support rapid response and code team coordination
Maintain readiness for high-acuity or surge situations
Promote a culture of safety and accountability
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (MSN preferred)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States
3–5+ years of clinical nursing experience
1–3+ years of nursing leadership or charge nurse experience
Strong understanding of patient care standards and healthcare regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Must currently reside in one of the approved locations listed above
Experience in acute care, hospital, or specialty unit settings (ICU, ER, Med-Surg, etc.)
Certification in nursing leadership or specialty nursing areas (e.g., ACLS, PCCN, CEN)
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies
Prior experience managing staffing schedules and unit budgets
