We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Medical Surgical Unit (MSU). This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting staff development, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of the Medical Surgical Unit.

  • Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

  • Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff.

  • Create staffing schedules and manage workforce productivity.

  • Collaborate with Nursing Leadership and Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.

  • Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives.

  • Support competency management, staff education, and certification efforts.

  • Assist with budget planning and resource management.

  • Maintain readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory surveys.

  • Participate in inpatient nursing leadership on-call rotation.

  • Provide direct patient care support during staffing shortages or high census periods.

  • Promote a healthy work environment and support Pathway to Excellence® initiatives.
Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Current unrestricted Colorado RN License

  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a Medical Surgical Unit or similar acute care setting

  • Current BLS Certification

  • Current ACLS Certification
Preferred

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

  • CCRN, PCCN, or other high-acuity nursing certification
Required After Hire

  • PALS within 6 months

  • TNCC or TCAR within 6 months

  • NE-BC within 3 years or when eligible
Compensation & Benefits Compensation

  • $53.00 - $60.95 per hour, based on experience and education
