Nurse Manager I, Hospital - Cath Lab Location: Happy Valley, OR Pay Rate: $157,000 – $165,000 per year
Position Overview A large, integrated healthcare system is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead Cardiac Catheterization Lab operations at an acute-care hospital. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong cardiovascular nurse leader who can build team capability, drive quality outcomes, and manage a high-acuity procedural environment. This is a full-time leadership opportunity within a well-resourced, physician-partnered cardiovascular program.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab on a 24/7 basis
Manage staffing, on-call scheduling, and resource planning for a high-volume cath lab
Lead, coach, and develop cath lab nursing and tech staff through performance management and mentorship
Monitor and drive quality metrics, patient safety outcomes, and infection control compliance
Collaborate with cardiovascular physicians, surgeons, and hospital leadership on service line strategy and improvement initiatives
Oversee department budget including labor, supply chain, and capital equipment planning
Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state health department standards
Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes for all cath lab personnel
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for adverse events and near misses
Serve as the primary clinical resource and escalation point for complex procedural or patient care issues
Requirements
Current RN licensure in the state of Oregon required
Minimum of 3 years of cardiovascular or cath lab nursing experience
Minimum of 1 year of nursing leadership or charge nurse experience
Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and EP procedures
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop clinical teams in a high-acuity environment
Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
BSN required; MSN preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a related field is preferred
