Are you a passionate and experienced nurse leader looking to make a difference? PeaceHealth, a mission driven healthcare system committed to providing compassionate care, is seeking a Nurse Manager with a critical care nursing background to lead our Intensive Care Unit and Nursing Float Pool at St. John Medical Center.


About the Role: As a Nurse Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 16 -bed ICU and Nursing Float Pool. Your responsibilities will include:


+ Leadership: Overseeing 24/7 nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and performance management.

+ Quality Improvement: Driving initiatives to enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction.

+ Team Development: Fostering a positive and supportive work environment, empowering your team to excel.

+ Financial Stewardship: Managing budgetary responsibilities and optimizing resource utilization.

+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.


About St. John Medical Center: St. John is a 177-bed acute care facility that offers the intimacy of a community hospital paired with the resources of PeaceHealth, a mission driven healthcare system in the PNW. Qualifications


+ Required: BSN or MSN

+ Required Minimum of 3 years nursing experience that includes Critical Care.

+ Required: Minimum of 2 years Leadership experience

+ Required: Work experience which demonstrates progressive leadership responsibility i.e. in Charge Nurse or supervisory role

+ Required: WA State Registered Nurse License and BLS Certification


Skills


+ Demonstrate competence in area of expertise. (Required)

+ Strong problem solving, decision making and time management skills. (Required)

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. (Required)

+ Proficient in use of computer including MS Office applications. (Required)

+ Ability to manage complex operations and diverse personnel. (Required)

+ Ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. (Required)


Working Conditions


+ Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.

+ Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

+ Sedentary work.

+ Predominantly operates in an office environment.

+ Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.

+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

+ The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
