A 404-bed Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Nurse Manager for its ICU/Trauma/Neuro unit. The hospital is a Joint Commission–accredited tertiary care and teaching facility serving the greater Orlando area.

The role. Reporting through nursing leadership, the Nurse Manager is accountable for the overall daily operations, staffing, and clinical quality of the ICU/Trauma/Neuro unit. This leader operationalizes evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes, supports reduction of care variation to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and drives compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards. The Manager oversees admissions and discharge throughput, ensures staff are assigned according to clinical competency and patient acuity, and facilitates interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments. The role also carries direct responsibility for scheduling, operating expense management, supply utilization, and the coaching and development of unit staff.

What we're looking for.

  • 1+ years of RECENT (within the last year) Acute Care (ICU, MICU, SICU, CVICU) leadership experience required
  • Registered Nurse Diploma
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Compensation. $90,000 - $115,000 per year plus Sign on: No Sign on; Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
