    Job Title: Nurse Manager II Operating Room (OR)

    Location: San Francisco, California
    Work Arrangement: Onsite (Full-Time)
    Compensation: $239,000 $259,000 per year

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II Operating Room (OR) to lead perioperative nursing operations. This role is responsible for managing clinical operations, staff leadership, quality and safety outcomes, and regulatory compliance across the Main Operating Room. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care delivery while collaborating with physicians, surgical teams, and hospital leadership to optimize patient outcomes and operational performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Clinical Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage OR nursing staff, oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Operating Room Operations: Oversee daily operations of the Main OR in a high-acuity acute care setting, ensuring appropriate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Nursing Practice Act, and federal/state regulations; lead patient safety and quality improvement programs.
    • Strategic Leadership: Manage unit budgets, payroll, and resource utilization while translating organizational strategy into unit-level execution.
    • Collaboration: Partner with physicians, surgical teams, and multidisciplinary hospital staff to resolve operational concerns and ensure efficient surgical service delivery.

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (MSN preferred).
    • Licensure: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification required.
    • Experience: * Minimum 5 years of experience in patient care delivery.
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical healthcare or business operations.
      • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
      • Must have Main OR experience in an acute care hospital setting.
    • Preferred: CNOR certification.
