We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II – Labor
Delivery (L D) to lead clinical operations, nursing staff, and patient care delivery within a high-acuity maternal-child health environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily unit operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving quality and safety outcomes, and fostering a high-performing nursing team. The Nurse Manager II will collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and organizational leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Leadership
Lead and develop nursing staff through hiring, coaching, and performance management; foster a culture of accountability and professional growth.
Oversee 24/7 unit operations; ensure appropriate staffing, resource allocation, and equipment utilization.
Quality
Ensure adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and Nursing Practice Act; lead quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Manage unit budgets and financial performance; implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration; resolve patient/family concerns and ensure continuity of care.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum 5 years of experience in patient care delivery.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of leadership experience.
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Leadership experience in maternal-child health, Labor
Delivery, or acute care environments.
Strong experience in staffing, budgeting, and operational management.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity clinical setting.
