Number of Beds being covered Entire hospital, inpatient, outpatient?
Ratios Will they be the only person working in this department? To start yes, we are hiring 2 FT and hoping to have 2 Contract IPs until the 2 FT can be hired.
Required Certification: CIC is required
Common duties/ responsibilities :All of those are going to be work included. Including device rounding, EOC rounding, etc... Not overseeing others, but assisting in orienting new staff once hired may be an ask."
Experience or 'Must have' skills: CIC experienced, former leadership experience preferred. Bachelor s degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, medical technology program, or other healthcare related field
Common diagnoses/patient types Healthcare associated infections and device-related infections. Communicable disease. Yes, SSI surveillance as well
What are the primary areas of hospital that they cover? All patient care areas, including inpatient, emergency department, surgery, procedural, ambulatory
EMR : Epic (Bugsy)
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: On call
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)"Flexible start and stop. In by 0830 at the latest and 8 hours per day.Mon-Fri"
Weekend Requirements What is your weekend requirement? Occasional weekend review of Construction activity
Holiday Requirements Do you require travelers to work holidays? No
Is there a call or standby requirement? If call or standby call is required, how often does it happen? No
Rounding/Safety Huddles How often? And who is included? "Rounding across procedural, inpatient, and ED areas regularly. Safety huddle every morning at 0830"
Scrub Color/Dress Code What are your dress code requirements? If an RN, you can wear Navy scrubs
If not an RN, you can wear Black scrubs. Business Casual . The department team wears business casual and a day or two per week also sometimes wear scrubs
