Job Description
Job Summary:
- Lead and manage patient care delivery and practice standards across multiple locations.
- Resolve patient, family, and staff concerns regarding care and services.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and team members for safe and effective patient care.
- Monitor resources in clinical areas to ensure proper assignments and utilization.
- Manage equipment, supplies, and medications to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintain clinical expertise and provide supervision and competency assessments.
- Delegate tasks aligned with scope of practice and perform clinical duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote professional growth and provide coaching to team members.
- Hire, train, and develop nursing staff and plan for succession.
- Communicate goals and provide performance feedback regularly.
- Oversee unit operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Work with stakeholders to align services to departmental strategies.
- Remove obstacles and identify opportunities to improve team performance.
- Manage administrative functions like staffing, safety, training, and quality management.
- Lead budgeting, payroll, and cost control efforts within the department.
- Oversee 24/7 care delivery operations and emergency preparedness.
- Lead projects to improve quality, service, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory health care standards.
- Drive continuous quality and safety improvements for patients and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Registered Nurse license (Oregon) at time of hire.
- Basic Life Support certification at hire.
- At least 5 years of experience in patient care delivery.
- At least 5 years of experience in clinical health care or related business operations.
- Minimum 4 years in a leadership role, with or without direct reports.
Preferred Skills:
- Oncology experience, especially in inpatient medical-surgical oncology units.
- Experience leading teams of 50+ direct reports.
- Familiarity with chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care.
Other Information:
- This is a new Manager-level position with direct reports.
- Regular full-time employment, no travel required.
- Work hours are flexible.
