Nurse Manager – Operating Room – Los Angeles, CA

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 clinical and operational leadership of a 12-suite OR serving a variety of high-volume specialties
  • Manage daily operations with oversight of ~60 direct reports, including OR RNs, surgical techs, and support staff
  • Lead staffing, scheduling, education, compliance, and performance initiatives across perioperative services
  • Ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and clinical quality for ~50 daily OR cases
  • Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, sterile processing, and other interdisciplinary leaders
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflow, throughput, and employee engagement
  • Maintain full survey readiness and regulatory compliance (TJC, CMS, CDPH, etc.)

 

Qualifications

  • Current CA Registered Nurse (RN) license (required by start date)
  • American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
  • BSN or MSN (required)
  • Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Minimum 4 years of RN leadership experience, including at least 2–3 years in a Nurse Manager or Supervisor role
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing operations, staffing models, and regulatory standards
  • Prior experience with unionized workforce preferred
  • CNOR certification a plus

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $197,000 – $228,000/year
  • Bonus: Eligible for up to 15% annual performance bonus
