About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatrics unit. This position sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, people leadership, and family-centered care. If you are a registered nurse with a passion for children's health and the drive to build high-performing teams, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact in the West Texas community.

In this role, you will shape the day-to-day operations and long-term vision of the pediatric patient care area, serving as the critical link between frontline nursing staff, physician partners, and executive leadership.

What you will do:
  • Lead daily operations and long-range planning of the pediatric care unit, ensuring consistently safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Mentor, develop, and inspire nursing staff — cultivating a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.
  • Champion a patient- and family-centered care environment that honors the unique needs of pediatric patients and their families.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to advance care standards and resolve clinical challenges.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility through strategic staffing, resource management, and budget oversight.
  • Compile and analyze unit performance reports, identifying opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Compose clear and professional communications including memos, clinical correspondence, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental meetings and facilitate productive dialogue across care teams.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required — or on track to complete within 12 months.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership aptitude.
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Strong written, analytical, and organizational skills with proven computer proficiency.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Required certifications:
  • Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License — current and in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.

11th Hour Service

11th Hour Service was founded in 2006 by two Veterans, and alumni of Big 4 and large multinational consulting firms. Originally established as an executive head hunting and staffing firm – 11th Hour Search – our team developed a unique, proactive, and swift proprietary talent identification process.

A few years later the firm transitioned to an advisory firm – 11th Hour Service. We leveraged our previous experience and quickly became the go-to firm to provide top talent to be procurement ready, even in the 11th Hour.

11th Hour Service started in the Audit Readiness world of DoD and has blossomed into a full scope risk advisory firm, with specialties in Financial Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Data Analytics, and Human Capital. This unique set of capabilities has allowed us to support some of the largest IDIQs and BPAs in the Federal government and provide the best solutions and resources to our clients with quick deployment times that rival that of the Special Forces.
