As the Nurse Manager of Radiology, you will be a strategic architect of care, aligning departmental goals with the hospital’s broader mission of superior patient outcomes. This role demands a sophisticated blend of financial acumen, human resource expertise, and a commitment to shared governance. You will lead an interdisciplinary team through the complexities of modern diagnostic and interventional radiology, ensuring that every procedure is underpinned by evidence-based practice, safety, and a "patient-first" philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Performance Leadership: Develop departmental goals aligned with Magnet standards; lead performance improvement initiatives by identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and establishing data-driven outcomes.
Human Resource Excellence: Serve as a coach and mentor to a diverse nursing staff; utilize behavioral-based interviewing for talent selection and implement robust retention strategies, including monthly rounding and daily huddles.
Financial Stewardship: Manage operational and capital budgets, oversee FTE productivity, and forecast future revenue while maximizing care efficiency and patient throughput.
Regulatory & Quality Oversight: Maintain 24/7 survey readiness for state and accreditation standards; monitor patient safety through Midas reporting and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for sentinel events.
Relationship Management: Act as a change agent and role model, utilizing advanced communication principles to manage conflict and promote healthy team dynamics.
Technological Integration: Leverage health information systems (e.g., Optilink, TeleTracking, Kauffman Hall) to drive operational performance and evaluate the impact of IT on care delivery.
Other duties as assigned.
Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse License/Registration.
Education: Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) required.
Certification: Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of management skills and the ability to lead within a high-acuity radiology environment.
Advanced Certification:CNML (Certified Nurse Manager and Leader) or specialty certification is preferred (must be obtained within 3 years of hire).
Clinical Cert:ACLS (American Heart Association) is highly preferred.
Vision: Experience working within a Magnet-designated culture of shared governance and evidence-based practice.

Work Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
