Description

Sharon Hospital located in Sharon, Connecticut is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist as we continue to grow our established and successful program. This is an excellent employed opportunity to work independently and with autonomy at a small community hospital in a beautiful location. Sharon Hospital is located in northwestern Connecticut in Litchfield County near the New York State border. Schedule is 12 hour day shifts 7 AM - 7 PM.

This is an employed position with a financially stable and growing hospital system and a multi-specialty practice with over 900 primary care and specialty providers. We offer a highly competitive package including night differential, comprehensive benefits, and generous allowances for CMEs/Dues. Relocation stipend available where appropriate.

Sharon Hospital has 78 general hospital beds and provides a full range of services including cardiology, cardiopulmonary, emergency care, imaging, intensive care, neurosciences, orthopedics, pain management, stroke care, surgical, womens services, and wound care.

Located in scenic Litchfield County, Sharon is a community with many beautiful and small hamlets. Sharon offers a plethora of community and family activities against a backdrop of local attractions. From hiking, biking, and museums to restaurants, cafes, and local farmers markets, there are endless ways to spend your leisure time. Excellent housing and outstanding schools can be found throughout the area with easy access to New York City, which is less than 90 miles.

Job Requirements

  • This position requires a minimum formal education of Masters Degree
  • State of CT RN and APRN licenses
  • CT State Controlled Substance Registration and Federal DEA
  • 1-2 years experience as an APRN in Hospital Medicine, ICU, or Emergency Medicine
  • Computer literacy able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills to facilitate patient care between hospitalists, private physicians, referral, and collaboration amongst other hospital staff
