Nurse Practitioner

We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a PRN, as-needed opportunity in a supportive outpatient clinic environment serving employees and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys a mix of primary care, episodic care, wellness support, and patient education in a collaborative clinical setting.

This assignment is anticipated to continue through the end of the year. Clinic hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that this is a PRN role with no guaranteed set schedule.

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will provide a broad range of outpatient clinical services in an employer-based health setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing independently, managing a variety of low-acuity and primary care needs, and partnering with onsite clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services in an outpatient clinic setting
• Treat low-acuity urgent and episodic care needs
• Manage extended acute care episodes, including short-term follow-up visits for limited illnesses or injuries
• Educate patients on chronic conditions and assist with co-management alongside outside primary care providers when appropriate
• Perform and oversee CLIA-waived testing
• Support medication dispensing and specimen collection processes
• Collaborate with onsite staff on biometric screenings, wellness initiatives, and health education programming
• Provide individualized health coaching and guide patients to appropriate wellness resources
• Support additional clinical services such as immunizations, travel health guidance, and other preventive care services, as applicable
• Work effectively with clinical support staff, including MAs and LPNs
• Deliver excellent patient service and maintain strong communication in both one-on-one and group settings

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state
• Minimum of 3+ years of Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Primary Care experience
• Ability to practice independently in accordance with state guidelines
• Active DEA license and prescriptive authority
• Experience using Electronic Health Records
• Current BLS certification
