Description
Conducts medical examinations, diagnose, prescribe, and treats CHS patients while practicing within clinical skills and competencies.
Makes patient referrals for further diagnosis and testing.
Consults with other CHS healthcare providers as needed.
Provides technical directions for CHS nurses and medical assistants.
Prescribes and dispenses drugs and devices in accordance with established regulations.
Provides technical direction to RN's, College of Nursing students, College of Medicine residents, intern physicians, and medical students.
Cooperative interaction with other clinical staff and support staff.
Provides teaching and mentoring opportunities for UA or affiliated health care trainees.
Involvement in committees and teams as appropriate.
Additional duties as assigned.

Good oral and written communication skills, including with all levels of the institution.
Progressive leadership skills with the ability to develop, guide, motivate, and coach others.
Advanced knowledge of skills in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical and psychosocial assessment and management of health and illness applicable to the care of college students.
