Job Summary


Seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our interdisciplinary behavioral health team. Temah Healthcare Services, LLC is a growing, patient-centered healthcare organization dedicated to providing integrated primary and behavioral health services to our community. We are committed to compassionate care, clinical excellence, and collaborative practice. We are seeking a skilled and motivated (Entry CRNP) Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive and high-quality care. 


This role is ideal for a provider passionate about holistic, community-based care and improving access to mental health services within the public health system.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and psychiatric assessments
  • Perform risk assessments and crisis intervention
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management and follow-up care as appropriate
  • Collaborate with peer specialists, case managers, and behavioral health professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Participate in community-based outreach and public health initiatives
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations and clinical standards
Qualifications


  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland
  • Current unrestricted license to practice
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or community health 
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including history and physical examinations
    • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
    • Prescribe medications, including psychotropic medications, in accordance with Maryland regulations
    • Perform routine wellness exams, preventive screenings, immunizations, and health promotion education
    • Deliver integrated behavioral health services including screening, diagnosis, and management of depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and other psychiatric conditions
    • Conduct brief interventions, crisis management, and motivational interviewing as appropriate
    • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers for coordinated care
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all federal, state, and local regulations
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Requirements


  • Minimum 25 hours per week availability
  • Proficiency in MS Office and EHR systems
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in-office and within community settings
Preferred Experience


  • Community-based or public health programs
  • Behavioral health services in clinical or outreach settings
  • Health education or wraparound support services
