PRIMARY PURPOSE

Responsible for quality management of healthcare issues for patients in designated primary or specialty area, including patient diagnoses, treatment, education and referrals to ensure optimal patient medical management consistent with the hospitals mission of patient centered/patient valued care.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Be willing to relocate to the United States within 30 days of receiving & accepting the job offer 

English fluency - speak, read & write English well enough to be able to go through the interview process; be it via telephone, Skype or in person, & possess the communication fluency to perform your job duties without the assistance of an interpreter or translator

EDUCATION

-Must have completed a post-graduate or graduate level Nurse Practitioner educational program accredited by a national nursing education accrediting body that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Board of Nursing.

-Must have a Master's degree in Nursing.

CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION/LICENSURE

-Must have current, valid RN license from the State of Employment Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.

-Must have a current license from the State of Employment Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice as a Family, Adult, Gerontology, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

MUST HAVE ACTIVE CERTIFICATION AS NURSE PRACTITIONER BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

-Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) - OR

-Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) by ANCC or AANPCP - OR

-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (GNP) by ANCC or AANPCP - OR

-Adult-Gerontology-Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by ANCC or AANPCP OR

-Adult-Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by ANCC or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACNC) - OR

-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) by ANCC or AACNCC

MUST HAVE CURRENT CPR-HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR-HP) CERTIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

o American Heart Association

o American Red Cross Rescuer

o Military Training Network.

Must meet and maintain licensing and registration requirements as delineated by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, and Credentialing Policies/Procedures, if any.

SKILLS OR SPECIAL ABILITIES

-Provides care to assigned patient population in accordance with the current State of Employment Nurse Practice Act, established protocols, multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area specific standards.

-Must be able to function independently and as a member of the healthcare team.

-Must have effective written and verbal communication skills in working with a diverse population of patients and families, nurses, physicians and community agencies.

-Must have knowledge and skill in educating patients and families.

-Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
