Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year

The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

 

Job Summary:

  • The APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates emergent inpatient care through collaboration with the attending Physician
  • The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates an ability to organize and achieve quality performance in new routine
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in coordinating aspects of patient care
  • Performs appropriate assessments and treatment for patients
  • Performs appropriate interpretation of laboratory/diagnostic testing
  • Performs basic bedside procedures such as central line removal feeding tube insertion rhino rocket insertion etc
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills communicates effectively and demonstrates time management
  • Performs duties independently and coordinates care with the bedside nurse attending physician and other consulting providers
  • The ability to compassionately interact with patients across different areas of care
  • Recognizes areas for improvement in policies or patient care initiates change and educates all involved in change
  • Regularly communicates with nursing staff concerning patient care issues
  • Thoroughly explains procedures to patients prior to testing
  • Provides appropriate patient teaching as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Acute care certification preferred
  • FCCS certification preferred
  • 1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Current APN or PA certification
  • Current NJ state license CDS and DEA
  • Current BLS and ACLS required
