What You’ll Do:
- Provide medical consultations and treatment for adult inpatients, including issues like sore throats, rashes, diabetes management, and medication reviews
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including mid-level providers, social workers, and nurses
- Support inpatient rounding and inpatient consultation services
- Respond to emergencies and provide coverage for hospital events as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies
What You Need:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts
- Experience in adult internal medicine or hospital-based outpatient setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong clinical skills in managing common medical issues and performing consultations
About the Assignment:
This position entails providing medical care in the inpatient psychiatric unit, with a focus on treating medical issues—this is not behavioral health. The facility supports a 20-bed unit and offers a collaborative environment with support staff to ensure quality patient care. Credentialing may take up to 90 days.
