Nurse Practitioner - Oncology/Hematology

McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates in Florence, South Carolina, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Candidates with five or more years of oncology/hematology experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications & Training

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
  • Minimum of five years of oncology/hematology experience preferred

Licenses, Certifications & Registrations

  • Current South Carolina RN License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), verified by the South Carolina LLR
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved accrediting agency
  • Prescriptive authority required
  • OCN certification preferred, but not required

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional image and foster excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers in alignment with McLeod's Service Excellence Standards and Core Values
  • Assess patient needs through medical history, observation, physical examinations, and analysis of diagnostic data
  • Document physical findings and develop treatment plans and prognoses based on patient conditions
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate comprehensive, age-specific patient care
  • Foster an environment of compassion, respect, and empathy for patients, families, and visitors
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all interactions
  • Perform physical examinations and preventative health measures within established physician guidelines
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
