Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – MinuteClinic
Location: 28 Abby Rd., Palmyra, VA 22963
Pay Rate: $73.18/hr (W2)
Duration: 4 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
May be required to travel to Richmond for training (3–4 days)
Position Summary
MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to deliver evidence-based primary and family care to a panel of patients. This role focuses on improving patient outcomes through accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health counseling, and care planning. The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Practice Manager.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions
  • Deliver health counseling and disposition planning to support patient well-being
  • Conduct routine examinations and manage patient appointments
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care
  • Perform diagnostic tests to support treatment of injuries and illnesses
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive treatment plans
  • Encourage patient participation in health screenings, behavioral health, wellness services, and chronic condition management
  • Perform administrative duties, including:
    • Opening and closing the clinic
    • Inventory management
    • Patient follow-ups
    • Insurance verification and payment collection
    • Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current National Board Certification
  • Active state license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner (Family Medicine or Primary Care preferred)
    • OR successful completion of CVS MinuteClinic Primary Care Training Program
  • Current BLS certification (copy required upon offer acceptance)
  • Application for DEA registration required upon offer acceptance (unless otherwise noted)
