Position: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Location: Marquette, MI (850 West Baraga Avenue)
Start Date: 08/05/2026
Duration: Ongoing, 10-14 days per month
Shift: 6am-6pm in-facility, on-call 6pm-6am (24-hour coverage)
Hours/Week: Full-time
Employment Type: Contract (W-2)
Pay Rate: $1.00/hour
Licensure & Certifications: Board certified or eligible in Neonatology, NRP certified, relevant clinical skills including intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, thermal cooling, ventilator management (oscillators, iNO)
Experience: Preferred experience in Level III NICU care involving respiratory distress, pulmonary hypertension, VLBW, NAS, sepsis, and stabilization for transport, with strong team collaboration.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide expert neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
  • Manage complex cases including respiratory support, sepsis, and prematurity
  • Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tubes, and central line placements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists and pediatric specialists
  • Stabilize and prepare infants for transport when necessary
  • Follow hospital protocols and maintain documentation in Cerner EHR system
  • Support ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
What You Need
Required:
  • Board certified or eligible in Neonatology
  • NRP certification
  • Clinical skills in intubation, chest tubes, central lines, etc.
  • NICU or neonatal intensive care experience

Preferred:
  • Experience in Level III NICU
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
