What Youll Do
- Provide neonatal/inpatient coverage as a Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in a hospital setting
- Manage newborn rounding and daily neonatal care responsibilities
- Support stabilization and resuscitation, including infrequent resuscitation events (about 13/week)
- Perform and/or manage required neonatal procedures and clinical tasks listed below
- Provide care during partial in-house hours (68 hours/day) and beeper call coverage for the remainder of the day
- Maintain availability within 30 minutes of the hospital during beeper call periods
- Participate in required documentation and maintain 2 years of case logs
What You Need
Required
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (or active OR)
- DEA:Yes
- Certification/Skills:BLS, NRP, Stable
- Board Certification:BC only
- Experience:2 years of case logs
- Clinical requirements:
- Intubation of Newborn
- UVC
- Needle Pneumothorax (decompression)
- X-ray interpretation
- Clean file required for expedited/temp privileges
- Ability to be within 30 minutes of the hospital during beeper call
- Cannot work another site while scheduled
