Nurse Practitioner

Locations: Queens/Bronx, NY City, NY
Pay: $65–$85/hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Pain Management practice in Queens and the Bronx, NY. In this role, you will work alongside physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP who is passionate about improving patients' quality of life through comprehensive, evidence-based pain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test reviews.
  • Diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including non-opioid analgesics and adjunctive therapies, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform or assist with interventional pain management procedures (if credentialed).
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Stay current with advancements in pain management through continuing education.

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Active and unrestricted New York Nurse Practitioner license.
  • DEA registration with authorization to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Current BLS or ACLS certification.
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Preferred

  • Board Certification as an FNP, AGNP, or PMHNP.
  • At least 1 year of pain management experience.
  • Experience with interventional pain management procedures.
