Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Employee Health Services

A recognized healthcare organization in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their Employee Health Services team. In this role, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will support occupational health services, employee evaluations, and workplace wellness initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on clinical care in a fast-paced medical setting focused on compliance, prevention, and employee health.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7am to 3pm (Mon, Wed, Fri) and 10am to 6pm (Tues & Thurs)
• Setting: In-person, medical office

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-employment physicals and comprehensive health assessments for prospective employees.
• Obtain health histories, vital signs, drug screens, and necessary lab specimens, and follow up on results.
• Evaluate employees for work readiness, return-to-work status, sick call concerns, and potential exposure or injury issues.
• Prescribe and manage medications, document care in medical records, and maintain required health data.
• Collaborate with medical, human resources, infection control, and safety teams on employee health programs, policies, vaccinations, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of related Clinical Nursing experience
• Graduation from an approved Nurse Practitioner program
• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification
• Board certification
• ANCC certification
• DEA registration
• Strong knowledge of Nursing theory and practice, including Physical Assessment, Differential Diagnosis, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology

Desired Skills:

• ACLS & BLS certifications
• Infection Control certification
• Liability certification.
• Excellent skills in Phlebotomy
