The NP will work under a designated physician and provide follow-up and chronic care management for patients with neurologic conditions.Position: Nurse PractitionerLocation: Norwood OfficeDepartment: Outpatient NeurologySchedule:Part-time - Monday,Wednesday, Friday No Weekends and No Holidays, No NightsOutpatient only; no hospital roundingKey Benefits for Part-Time Employees:Competitive pay based on experience401k with Profit Sharing and 4% Company MatchPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffContinuing Education ReimbursementUniform AllowanceFree ParkingResponsibilities:Perform physical examinations to obtain physical data.Prescribe and manage medications for neurological conditions.Understand and order medically necessary procedures.Order and interpret laboratory data.Perform toxin injections as trained and delegated by supervising physician.Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Maintain accurate and timely patient records and medical history in the EMR.Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback.Coordination of care between patients and treating physician.Other duties as assigned by physician within the scope of licensure and practice agreement.Travel to other locations as needed.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited AANP, ARNP, or ARC-PA program. Current Licensure in Ohio is required.Minimum of (1) one year of outpatient experience preferred.Minimum of (2) year of neurology experience preferred.Toxin injection experience is preferred.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training required.Critical Thinking skills to quickly and accurately assess a patient's health, as well as to detect and take action for any changes, is required.Capacity to deal with severely ill and physically impaired patients.Great interpersonal skills with sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, vendors, and staff.Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.#IND3
