Shift: Day Shift – 5x8.5 Hour Shifts
Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM | 42.5 Hours/Week

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner for an acute care hospital setting in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care, clinical assessments, treatment planning, and patient education. Oncology experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and evaluations
• Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with attending physicians
• Document clinical findings accurately in medical records
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
• Utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with collaborative practice agreements
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Assist in managing acute and chronic patient conditions
• Support continuity of care and discharge planning processes
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
• Perform patient care functions independently with minimal supervision
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience required
• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner license/registration required
• NYS NP specialty certification consistent with practice area required
• OR NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant eligibility accepted
• Medicare NPI number or eligibility required
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
• Ability to work independently in acute care setting required
• English proficiency required
Preferred:
• Oncology experience
• Inpatient hospital experience
• Acute care clinical experience
• ACLS required
• CPR required
